Defense Strategy

As a foundation to building successful relationships we strive to establish a sound tripartite partnership between the firm, our clients, and the claims professionals.  We are dedicated to the early formulation of a defense strategy in concert with the client and the claims professional. Each case is assessed by a partner and an initial defense strategy is developed within thirty days.

Malapero & Prisco realizes litigation costs are a prime concern to clients.  We offer a range of tested, cost-effective strategies, which are tailored to each client’s needs. We attempt to resolve disputes in a manner which is practical and efficient from a business as well as a legal perspective. We aggressively pursue early evaluation and settlement where appropriate on a cost-of-defense basis.  If litigation is required, we will work with the client to determine the process best suited to their needs, be it motion practice, negotiation, mediation, or taking a case to trial.

Our practice is conducted in accordance with the Recommended Case Handling Guidelines for Insurers, as promulgated by The Defense Research Institute.  We have the flexibility to coordinate billing with all electronic billing formats.  Our billing conforms to the Uniform Task Based Management System as required.  Billing cycles are tailored to meet the individual needs of our clients.
